Andrea Colorio is a registered Cassation Lawyer, member of the Bolzano Bar Association, and an international PhD from the Universities of Milano-Bicocca, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Szeged. Since 2021 he has been an ordinary member of the Academy of the Agiati of Rovereto and in 2022 he was included on the European Commission‘s list of candidates suitable for appointment as arbitrator in bilateral disputes under the European Union’s trade agreements with third countries.

A former Partner of PMAB Law Firm in Bolzano, where he is currently Of Counsel, he founded Colorio Dispute Resolution in 2023 and concentrates his professional activity mainly in the areas of arbitration and civil, commercial, banking and tax litigation, without neglecting, however, the administrative and criminal law context as well, if necessary. In the judicial field, he has been involved in, among others, proceedings relating to contractual and non-contractual liability of various kinds, including in real estate and construction, quantification of expropriation compensation, medical liability, actions against public entities before ordinary courts, liability actions against company directors, and complex banking and tax litigation.

A Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators and Prime Dispute, he has served as defense counsel in arbitration proceedings of an international nature and in negotiations on investment arbitrations based on bilateral treaties between states (BITs), as well as serving as arbitration secretary, sole arbitrator, and designated arbitrator before the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He has been a member of ICC YAF, ICDR-Young & International, ASA Below 40 and LCIA YIAG youth arbitration associations, and is still a member of HK45 Arbitration Group, Chinese European Arbitration Association eV (CEAA) and Arbitrando Association. In addition, he is currently a board member of the Italian section of Club Español del Arbitraje, of which he was vice president until 2022. In addition to Italy, he has participated as a speaker or auditor in conferences and seminars in France, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Greece, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, China, Malaysia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

In 2014 he was a Visiting Scholar, on a grant, at the Center for Hellenic Studies at Harvard University. He is the author of several articles in the field of legal history, as well as scholarly contributions on the relationship between law and neuroscience. In 2018, he published Edizioni dell'Orso a monographic volume on the pledge in Greek law, entitled "Enechyron", while 2020 saw the release of his "Scritti su diritto e scienza. Dal mondo greo-romano ai processi del XXI secolo" In the past, he worked, among others, with the international firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners (M&A Department), where he started his professional activity after graduating in law with honors (summa cum laude) from the University of Milan-Bicocca. He speaks Italian, English, German, Spanish and French.
